What Our Customers Say...

  • 'I am delighted with the restoration of my brass bed: it's a family heirloom and was rescued from a farmer's field in Wales for £1 in the 1970s and driven home on the roof of my parents Morris Minor. It spend many years in Cumbria as my childhood bed and was much loved but the brass rails were broken, the DIY paint job was 'patchy' (thanks Dad) and it needed a good overhaul. I've been looking for the right restoration team for years and I'm delighted that Dan has done such a brilliant job on it and gave it some TLC. It's now as good as the day it was made and even my dad admits it's a brilliant job. It's now fit for another generation and remains a much loved item in our family's history."

  • “I’ve had two antique cast iron/brass beds beautifully restored by the Victorian Brass Bed Company. From pick up, throughout the restoration process and delivery the service was faultless. Dan, who is extremely knowledgeable, is in contact every step of the way discussing repair work and finishes. The restored beds haven’t disappointed when I’ve received them back. Brass work is gleaming but still retains a few characterful imperfections. Paintwork is flawless and best of all no rattles or creaking from the frame. If you looking for a restoration service and like the idea of supporting skilled craftsmen then I can whole heartily suggest the Victorian Brass Bed Company”.

  • We wanted to contact you to tell you how extremely pleased with our new wrought iron bedstead. We looked online for a good quality bed that was solid, didn't creak and would last us for years to come, and that is exactly what we have received from Victorian Bedstead Company. We also felt the customer service was friendly, professional and very efficient, Thankyou Toria. Paul & Mary Taylor
  • We bought our first brass bed frame from the Victorian brass bed company a few years ago, which we were very pleased with.  We were so impressed by the quality of service provided, that when we then bought a second cast iron bed frame in need of restoration, we chose to send it to Dan and Toria.  We were provided with a detailed quote and timescale for the work and once the restoration was underway we were consulted on any unforeseen issues and provided options of how we could proceed.  We now have the bed back with us and are blown away - it looks like a different bed!  The attention to detail and quality of workmanship in restoration is faultless.  They not only set high standards in their work but also in providing excellent customer service - we cannot recommend them highly enough.

  • Wow Dan. Are you sure that’s my bed? It looks great. That bed means a lot to me. As I never tire of telling people it was my grandparents bed. My grandad died in it and my father was born in it. When I was small I used to sneak into the bed for a cuddle with my gran. Thanks so much for restoring it. It last looked that good 100 years ago.

  • We have been buying beds from Toria and her father before her for over twenty years now.  They have a brilliant selection, give expert advice and are a pleasure to deal with.  Dan can also alter old beds so that they are turned into king or super-king size without it being possible to tell that they didn't start out like that.  We have some really beautiful examples of old bedsteads from the Victorian Brass Bedstead Company and are so pleased to be able to give them a new lease of life.
